Special: The Aldo Moro assassination with Lorenzo Paluan

On the 9th of May 1978 the body of the President of the Christian Democrat party Aldo Moro was found in the boot of a Renault 4 in via Caetani, halfway between the headquarters of his own Christian Democrat party and the Italian Communist party. He had been a prisoner of the far left terrorist organisation, the red brigades, since his kidnapping and the assassination of his police escort 55 days before on the 16th of March.

Moro’s assassination ended his life, but it did not put an end to the attempt to discover the truth about that dark chapter of Italian history and all the attempts to mislead the investigations in an affair that may have potentially involved high-ranking members of the Armed Forces, the Italian Secret Service, the infamous P2 Masonic Lodge and possibly even the United States government and the CIA.

with our guest, Lorenzo Paluan, we try to untangle some of the complicated threads of one of the most memorable events in modern Italian history.

Anti-mafia martyrs: Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa

On 3rd September, the anniversary of his death, we look at the struggle against organised crime of Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa, general of the Italian Carabinieri police force who dedicated his life to the fight against terrorism and the Sicilian Mafia. From his early days in Corleone to his last experience in Palermo, we follow the steps of an anti-mafia hero.
